What you may request
- Correction of a material factual error;
- Prospective withdrawal of an unpublished Submission;
- Review of accidental identification;
- Removal or redaction of personal information;
- Copyright or ownership review;
- Review of content that creates a credible safety concern; or
- Another documented concern involving Archive content.
Verification
We must reasonably verify that you submitted the material or are an affected rights holder. Anonymous Submissions can generally be located only when you provide the email used at submission, an Archive entry or reference number, the approximate submission date, or other nonpublic details.
Limits on removal
We will make reasonable efforts to stop future use when appropriate. We cannot guarantee removal from previously distributed content, third-party platforms, search records, backups, lawful business records, or material that has been irreversibly anonymized or incorporated into completed content.
Review standard
Requests are evaluated based on identity verification, privacy, safety, factual accuracy, contractual rights, editorial integrity, technical feasibility, and applicable law. Filing a request does not guarantee the requested outcome.
