Kani Sanaa is a transparent AI media experience operated by Kani Sanaa Media LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect at kanisanaa.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read—not skimmed past.

1. What We Collect

Email newsletter

If you subscribe, we collect your email address and use it to send Archive entries, launch news, and related updates. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Dear Kani submissions

When you submit a story, we collect the story text, the entry category you select, your permission choice, and—only if you choose to provide it—an email address for a private reply. We do not request your name. Submissions are anonymous by design.

Automatic data

Our website hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, approximate region, and security logs. We use this information to operate, protect, and understand the website—not to identify anonymous storytellers.

Cookies

We use only cookies or similar technologies necessary to operate and secure the website. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Story

Submitted stories may be edited for clarity and anonymized. Identifying details—including names, places, specific dates, and unique circumstances—may be removed or altered before public use.

With the permission you grant at submission, an anonymized version of your story may be published in the Kani Sanaa Archive and reflected on through our website, email, podcasts, videos, and social channels.

Stories and anonymized themes may help shape the perspective and responses of the Kani Sanaa AI digital human. Submission does not guarantee publication, a response, or compensation. We will never publish your email address or contact information.

3. What We Never Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your email address with advertisers.
  • We do not publish submitted stories without the required permission.
  • We do not attempt to identify anonymous submitters.

4. Service Providers and Disclosures

We use service providers only as necessary to operate the Services, including our website host and Web3Forms for form processing. Those providers process information under their own privacy obligations and service terms.

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Company, our users, or the public.

5. Sensitive Stories

Stories shared with the Archive may involve loss, family, faith, identity, health, relationships, or other deeply personal matters. Share only what you are comfortable having reflected on publicly in anonymized form. Do not include full names, addresses, account numbers, or details that could identify you or another person.

Kani Sanaa’s reflections are storytelling and perspective—not medical, legal, mental-health, financial, professional-counseling, emergency, or spiritual-direction services.

6. Data Retention

Email subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to our service providers’ lawful retention and suppression practices.

Story submissions may be retained as part of the Archive’s living record. If you provided a verifiable email address, you may request deletion from our records and future use. Material already published in anonymized form may remain because it can no longer reasonably be linked to you.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of personal information. Because story submissions are anonymous, we can generally honor a request only when we can reasonably verify the information belongs to you. Send requests to hello@kanisanaa.com. We aim to respond within 30 days, subject to applicable law.

8. Children

The Archive is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and minors may not submit stories or participate in community features. If you believe a minor submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Anonymous-by-design submissions reduce, but do not eliminate, privacy risk.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes—especially changes to how stories are used—will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, except where another jurisdiction’s mandatory privacy law applies.
