1. What Belongs in the Archive
We welcome original personal stories, lessons, memories, questions, and reflections shared in good faith. Strong Submissions explain what happened, how it affected you, and what you are still trying to understand.
2. What We Do Not Accept
- Threats, harassment, hate, or targeted abuse;
- Identifiable accusations presented for retaliation;
- Doxxing or private contact information;
- Intimate images or sexually exploitative material;
- Identifying material about minors;
- Medical records, account numbers, credentials, or sealed records;
- Malicious software, spam, or commercial solicitation;
- Material you do not have the right to submit; or
- Content prohibited by law or court order.
3. Stories Involving Other People
Describe your experience without unnecessarily identifying others. Avoid full names, workplaces, schools, exact locations, unique titles, precise dates, or distinctive family details. Serious accusations about an identifiable person may be rejected, redacted, or fictionalized.
4. Editorial Review
Every selected Submission may be reviewed for safety, privacy, legal risk, clarity, and fit. We may shorten, reorganize, anonymize, combine themes, fictionalize nonessential facts, add context, or decline publication. Emotional truth will not be deliberately altered to create a more sensational story.
5. Anonymization Standard
Before publication, we may remove or change names, initials, dates, locations, employers, schools, providers, case numbers, family structures, medical details, job titles, and other information that could reasonably identify someone. Complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed when a story is uniquely recognizable.
6. Content Notes
Published entries may carry content notes for grief and loss, family trauma, domestic violence, substance use, mental health, sexual content, financial hardship, spiritual experiences, or other sensitive material. Content notes inform readers without turning pain into promotion.
7. Publication Decisions
Submission does not guarantee publication, a response, attribution, or compensation. Timing, format, platform, editing, and removal decisions remain with Kani Sanaa Media LLC, subject to the Story Submission Agreement, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and applicable law.
8. Corrections and Withdrawal
If you provided a verifiable email address, you may request a correction or prospective withdrawal. Published or distributed material may not be fully retractable. Review the Corrections, Withdrawal & Removal Policy before filing a request.
9. Governing Documents
All Submissions are governed by the Story Submission Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use. The Safety Notice applies to urgent or sensitive subject matter.
